Someone Like Me is Ireland’s first digital cancer peer support platform, created to help people affected by cancer connect with others who truly understand what they’re going through.

Founded by breast cancer survivor Vanessa Mooney following her own cancer journey, Someone Like Me was created to make cancer peer support more accessible across Ireland. I am building it in memory of my chemo sister, Veronica “Von”, and my beautiful mam.

Our mission is to help people find connection, encouragement and trusted resources throughout every stage of cancer - from diagnosis and treatment to recovery and life beyond cancer.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed, living with cancer, supporting a loved one, or adjusting to life after treatment, our cancer community provides a safe, supportive space to connect with people who have walked a similar path.

Through our cancer support app, podcast and growing network of trusted resources, we’re building a community where nobody has to face cancer alone.
